The ancient citadel in Erbil, Iraq is thought to be one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Archaeologists estimate that the citadel is around 8000 years old. UNESCO is in the process of mapping the area with the possibility of turning the citadel into a World Heritage Site<br />
